Back in October 2017, we wrote about how you can use Shopify to sell products directly on Instagram by “tagging” your photos. Well, the feature is now fully implemented and it is awesome.
Look at this image below…
Patch Plants has created a beautiful image here. Each product is easily tagged for their followers to make a quick purchase.
It’s still a new feature but I can’t wait to see some stats on how these posts convert to sales. I can imagine that because of the popularity of Instagram and the easy process here for customers, it’s going to be a valuable channel for site owners!
How to start
The good news is: it is super easy to set-up. To use the Instagram sales channel all you need is a Shopify store that is already using the Facebook sales channel.
You can set this up from within your Shopify dashboard. Just install the free app, by clicking here.
If you are new to online marketing, words like "platform" and "CMS" can sound like nonsensical jargon. So let's make things simple...
Are you going to be selling products on your website? Will you be taking payments? Will you need a shopping basket and checkout system? If the answer to these questions is "yes" then you'll probably need our Shopify website design packages.
Do you just need a website to advertise and promote your products & services? Are you looking to build a content-based site rather than an online-retail store? Then you will probably need our WordPress CMS website packages.
Don't worry if you are still confused; just get in touch and we'll talk you through it.
