01 — Included in every plan

Someone keeping an eye on your site.

A small monthly retainer that keeps your website secure, up to date, and improving — with a real person on the other end of the email when you need a hand.

Security & updates

WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates kept on top of every month. Critical for preventing hacks and downtime.

Regular backups

We back up your site at regular intervals and can restore from one if something ever goes sideways.

30 minutes of support time

Each month you get a half-hour of our time for content tweaks, small fixes, or quick questions — no need to keep score.

Priority response

Plan customers go to the top of the queue. We aim to come back to you within one working day.

Reduced hourly rate

Need bigger work done? Plan customers get a discount on any additional ad-hoc development or design hours.

Annual site review

Just ask, once a year, and we'll do an in-depth performance and content review — usually the springboard for the next round of improvements.

02 — The plans

Two plans, simple pricing.

Pick the plan that matches your platform. WordPress and Shopify each have different needs — the plans are tailored accordingly.

03 — Hosting vs maintenance

Two different jobs — both worth doing.

A common confusion: hosting keeps the server running, maintenance keeps the website running. Most of our clients have both.

Hosting

Keeps the server running.

  • Server hardware & uptime
  • Bandwidth & SSL certificates
  • Daily backups of the whole site
  • Data centre escalations on your behalf

05 — Frequently asked

The usual questions.

If yours isn't here, drop us a line — we'll answer it honestly and without sales waffle.

Why do I need a plan?

Once we've built a website, we hand it over and it becomes your responsibility. Tech-savvy companies may want to manage it in-house. But for everyone else — or for clients who want to keep improving and growing — a plan keeps security on top, gives you a known point of contact, and means we stay in touch with your site rather than coming back cold each time something needs doing.

What happens if my website gets hacked?

Contact us immediately. We'll often be able to restore your site from a backup and then take a look for any vulnerabilities. The cost of a recovery service varies with the size of the site and the complexity of the attack, but having a plan in place makes the process faster, cheaper, and a lot less stressful.

Does my monthly support time roll over?

No — each month, use it or lose it. That said, the value in a plan goes well beyond the half-hour: a lot of the work happens behind the scenes to keep your site secure and stable.

Who is responsible for the data on my site?

Ultimately you are — under UK GDPR, the data controller is the business running the site. We can help update WordPress, change content, and advise on best practice, but the decisions about how your customers' data is collected and used remain yours. We're happy to point you in the right direction.

Do I have to host with you to be on a plan?

No — we can maintain sites that are hosted elsewhere. That said, backups and restores are only included where your site is hosted with us; on third-party hosting we rely on whatever backup tools that provider offers.

Is there a minimum term?

Plans run on a rolling monthly basis, with an annual option that comes with a small discount. You can cancel any time with a month's notice.
