Bespoke software, built fast — at a fraction of the old price.
Custom sites, plugins, web apps, dashboards and internal tools — the kind of bespoke software that used to be the preserve of large companies, now within reach of founders and small businesses. Working prototypes in days, production-ready builds in weeks.
Custom software, made to fit.
If it lives on the web, we can probably build it. Three areas we're asked about most often — though the boundaries are fuzzy and most projects pull from more than one.
WordPress sites & custom plugins
Brochure sites, content-driven sites, and bespoke WordPress plugins that do exactly what your business needs — built faster than a traditional agency, with none of the bolt-on plugin sprawl.
- Custom themes & page templates
- Plugins built for a single specific job
- Integrations with the tools you already use
Web apps & SaaS-style tools
Login-protected web apps for your customers, members, or staff. Multi-user, multi-role, with the kind of polish you'd expect from a SaaS product — only it's yours.
- User accounts, roles & permissions
- Bookings, portals, member areas
- Stripe, integrations & automated emails
Internal business tools
Dashboards, project trackers, ops tools, custom CRMs — software that replaces a stack of expensive monthly SaaS subscriptions with one tool, shaped exactly to how your team actually works.
- Custom dashboards & admin panels
- PM systems & workflow automations
- Reporting tools fed by your data
Bespoke software just got affordable.
The economics of custom development have changed. Things that used to require a team of developers and a six-figure budget can now be built in a fraction of the time — and a fraction of the cost.
Custom used to cost £50k
Bespoke software was the preserve of companies with big budgets. Not any more. The same kind of tool now lands at a fraction of the price — without cutting corners.
Stop paying for SaaS you barely use
Most businesses are paying monthly for half a dozen tools they only use a slice of. One bespoke tool, owned outright, can replace a stack of subscriptions — and do exactly what you need, nothing more.
Built to your exact workflow
Off-the-shelf software forces you to bend your process to fit the tool. We do the opposite — the software bends to fit you. No workarounds, no "wish it could do X", no training around quirks.
You own it
When we hand over a build, you own the code outright. No lock-in, no per-seat pricing creep, no surprise sunset emails. It's yours to keep, change, or take elsewhere if you want.
Four steps. Days, not months.
A short, focused process designed to get you something real — that you can click around in — as quickly as possible. We figure out the detail together.
Discovery
You don't need a spec. A friendly call to talk through the problem, the people, and the constraints — we'll come back with a clear shape for the build.
Prototype
A working prototype, often within days. Not a mockup — a real, clickable version you can use, break, and react to. Reactions are how scope gets sharp.
Build
We turn the prototype into a production-ready build over the following weeks. You see progress on a staging environment as we go — no big reveal at the end.
Launch
Go-live, with documentation and a handover session. From there it's up to you — take the code and run with it, or keep us on for ongoing iteration. Both are common.
A flavour of what we've made.
A few recent projects — clients anonymised. If any of these sound close to what you're thinking about, we can talk through them in more detail on a call.
A bespoke project management system.
Replaced a tangle of spreadsheets, email threads and one expensive SaaS subscription with a single custom tool — tracking jobs, contractors, and properties through a shared dashboard.
An AI-powered chatbot for customer support.
A site-embedded chatbot that knows the product catalogue and the FAQ inside out — deflecting the easy questions, handing the rest to a human, and learning as it goes.
A staff scheduling tool for a theatre.
A scheduling tool for front-of-house, performers, and production staff — used to plan shifts, calculate staff costs, and see at a glance who's working where on any given night.
The usual questions.
If yours isn't here, drop us a line — we'll answer it honestly, no sales waffle.
How much does a build cost?
It depends on scope — that's the honest answer. The reason we don't publish prices is that "a custom tool" can mean anything from a small plugin to a full multi-user app. What we will commit to: it's a fraction of what the same thing would have cost from a traditional agency three years ago, and we'll give you a firm quote after a short discovery call.
How long does it take?
You'll usually have a working prototype within days. A production-ready build typically takes a few weeks — longer for larger apps. We'll give you a clear timeline alongside the quote, and you see progress on a staging environment throughout.
What if I don't know exactly what I want built?
Most people don't — that's normal, and it's our job to help. The discovery call is exactly for this. We talk through the problem, the people involved, and what "good" would look like. You don't need a spec, mockups, or technical knowledge to start the conversation.
Who owns the code afterwards?
You do. When we hand over a build, the code is yours outright — no licensing, no per-seat fees, no lock-in. You can keep us on for ongoing work or take it elsewhere; either is fine.
Can you maintain it for us?
Yes, if you want us to. Some clients prefer a clean hand-off and to take it from there; others keep us on for ongoing iteration, fixes, and new features. We'll talk through both options on the discovery call and you pick what fits.
Is the code reliable?
Yes. Every build is reviewed, tested, and runs on the same hosting infrastructure we trust for our own sites. We've been building software since 2010 — the tools we use to ship faster don't change the standards we hold the work to.
Got something in mind?
Whether it's a clear brief or just a problem you'd like to solve, we'd love to hear about it. A short discovery call, no hard sell, and an honest answer on whether we're the right people to build it.
