How to chat to your customers on Shopify

Shopify has recently launched a new messaging tool called Ping. This is a free messaging app that you can download on iOS via the app store and it’s one that we definitely think is going to improve your ability to interact with customers!

Tips for using ‘chat’

Chat apps like Ping allow you to build stronger relationships with your customers. For example, asking customers about what they are looking for and finding it for them is a great feature. It’s all about the personal touch.

Share products via chat

Using Ping, you are able to share products with your customer, directly in the chat window. You can become their personal shopper! Now that’s customer service.

Share discount codes

Who doesn’t love getting a discount? With Ping, you can send out discount codes to your customers directly through the chat window.

Paying instantly with Apple Pay

Rather than your customers having to leave Ping to go on to your store to make their purchase, customers can buy products within the app by using Apple Pay. This is one of the best features as it makes buying products so much easier.

Integrate all your customer messenging

Keeping all of your messages to and from customers in one place is much easier to manage. Ping also works with the likes of Apple Business Chat and Facebook Messenger; allowing you to integrate all of the apps you use on a daily basis into one!
